YOUTH team coaches from Rotherham United Football Club are working to improve the lives of local youngsters.

The coaches have been given special training so that they can help to prevent drug and alcohol addiction in the town.

The Millers staff are among employees from several organisations to have been trained by the local mental health trust to combat the mace of drugs and alcohol.

Neil Power, a spokesman for the Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber National Health Trust, said: “Intervening at an early stage can dramatically and positively change drug-taking and alcohol-misuse habits.”
