The cause of a fire on a Doncaster industrial estate last night is under investigation this morning, but arson has not been ruled out.

Three coaches went up in flames in the car park of McCormack Logistics on Warmsworth Halt, near Edlington, just before 8.30pm.

Firefighters from Edlington, Doncaster and Maltby stations were despatched and spent almost two hours tackling the blaze, which destroyed two of the coaches but one was saved from serious damage.

People were working on the site at the time but none was near the five parked single-decker coaches and no-one was injured.

A spokesman for Edlington fire station said: “We can’t say how it started at this stage and we will be going back in daylight to carry out an investigation.”
