Co-op is good with grants too

Have your say

MORE than £86,000 worth of charitable grant donations from the Co-op supermarket’s community fund have been shared out between worthy causes around South Yorkshire.

The Community Fund is a pot of money created by shoppers and members of The Co-operative Group who elect to donate all, or part, of their twice-yearly dividend payments directly into the scheme.

The funds are then shared with local groups and projects across the country.

Groups that have benefited from funding this year include Sheffield’s Children and Families Project, Sheffield Initiative For Fairtrade, Askern Miners’ Welfare in Doncaster, and the Doncaster Danum Eagles.
