A SPORTS club will attempt to break a world record during the Sheffield Half Marathon later this month.
Members of Sheffield University’s Orienteering Club are bidding to become the fastest two-person pantomime act to ever run a half marathon after setting off from Don Valley Stadium in Attercliffe on Saturday, May 27.
The club will enter as panto camels to try to beat the current world record of two hours, nine minutes and 13 seconds.
The stunt has been organised to drum up extra support for the club’s chosen charities, Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research and Unicef.
