Clean-up of market stalls

MARKET traders in Chesterfield have signed a new agreement with the council to work together in keeping the site clean and tidy.

Permanent stalls and traditional stone paving mean the council has to be extra careful with its cleaning methods, so needs help from traders to ensure the area is kept pristine.

Council leader Ray Russell said: “As well as managing their waste properly, they can support us in keeping the area tidy and remind visitors to use the new bins for their waste and cigarette ends.”
