A man has been arrested after police found Class A drugs and a cannabis farm during a raid on his Sheffield home.

The man was arrested at an address in Beighton on Friday morning as part of an ongoing investigation into the supply of Class A drugs.

Officers, from the Sheffield Support Hub, searched the man's property and found what they suspect to be further Class A drugs and a cannabis farm.

Further enquiries are ongoing with what police have recovered.

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: "I am more than aware of reported issues in this area, and we are developing any information so we can take action such as this today.

"However this does take time and we need the public's help in informing us what happening and where.

"We cannot obtain search warrants at court or take action against those causing problems without information and this is where we need your local support.

"We are looking to try and increase visibility in the area and the support of a special constables may assist. Officers will be in both marked and unmarked vehicles."
