City pub’s fair of goodwill

Have your say

A Sheffield gastropub and hotel hosted a Christmas fair at the weekend, in aid of local community charity Transport 17 - which provides transport to the elderly and groups with mobility problems.

The Cross Scythes, in Totley, hosted a number of stalls, sold tea and coffe and held a raffle with all proceeds going towards the upkeep of the charity’s buses and other resources.

Stuart Hitchman, Director at the Cross Scythes, sais the work which Transport 17 does is vital to the local community: “Transport 17 is a fantastic local charity and one which we’ve been proud to support over the years. We’re always keen to help out the local area wherever we can, so we were thrilled to raise more awareness and funds for Transport 17 through a festive fair.”
