Sheffield MP for Heeley, Louise Haigh, is joining HC-One’s Holmwood Care Home in Norton Leeds as it opens its doors on Care Home Open Day.
The care home, on Warminster Road, will open its doors to members of the local community on June 17, as part of the fourth annual Care Home Open Day.
Staff and residents will be joined by the local MP as the care home hosts a range of exciting activities in line with these year’s theme of ’Right Royal Blooming Great Tea Party,’ chosen to celebrate the 90th birthday of the Queen.
As part of the celebrations, HC-One homes across the country will be raising money for HC-One’s charity partner Marie Curie.
Care Home Open Day is an international initiative aimed at all care homes in the UK and beyond, both big and small, private providers and those run by local authorities. Thousands of care homes take part each year, holding special activities that create strong and meaningful link across the generations, between residents and their local communities.
Local residents are invited to attend between 10am and 4pm this Friday, with Ms Haigh arriving at 10.30am to take part in festivities.
