A SHEFFIELD headteacher will share her expertise at the National College’s annual conference today.

Nicola Shipman, the executive headteacher at Fox Hill and Monteney Primary Federation and Mansel Primary School, is one of a handful of education leaders appearing at Seizing Success 2012.

She is to talk about what makes an effective academy chain or school federation in a special workshop.

Nicola said: “I am delighted to have this opportunity to share my experience of the success of our federation, our new partnership with Mansel and the impact we know it is having on children, staff and the wider community.

“To have our school work recognised as being so successful is true testimony to the hard work our governors and staff put in.

“It is a great privilege to speak at such a high profile event.”

Education secretary Michael Gove will also speak at the event, which up to 1,800 school leaders will attend over two days in Birmingham.
