FOUR Sheffield dancers were left with mixed feelings following their auditions in one of the world’s most fiercely contested dance competitions.
Soloist Anton Phung, aged 22, from Ecclesall Road, and the Gregory siblings Michaela, 21, Sam, 16, and Nicole, 15, from Woodseats, who make up dance troupe Unit 3, appeared on Sky1 HD’s Got to Dance competition on Sunday.
Anton performed two routines including a freestyle sequence.
His moves were rewarded by the judges with three gold stars which meant he was put through to the shortlist, and now has a shot at the £250,000 first prize.
But Unit 3 received two reds and a gold.
That meant they didn’t make it through to the shortlist. The judges however were impressed sufficiently to ask the family to come back next year.
