DEDICATED staff and volunteers who work at Rotherham’s Citizens’ Advice Bureau have been praised by a councillor.
Coun Mahroof Hussain, Rotherham Council’s cabinet member for communities and cohesion, spoke at Rotherham CAB’s annual general meeting, where he said: “The CAB continues to recruit high calibre volunteers and has some very dedicated individuals whose skills are essential in supporting the bureau.
“I thank the staff who have managed to support so many clients and I recognise the work they do for the people of Rotherham.”
Nationally, the CAB, an independent charity, is run by staff and more than 20,000 volunteers. Rotherham CAB managed to support 5,397 clients with 15,087 problems last year despite a funding cut.
