Church open to public
SAINT Mary's Church at Tickhill will be open to the public to celebrate success in raising the necessary funds for the first phase of a heritage restoration project.
The open day will be on Saturday, 10am-noon, and 2pm -4pm, when residents and visitors can enjoy guided tours around the historic building.
There will be a book stall and exhibition, with displays to illustrate the work.
Refreshments will be served, there is a children’s quiz and the ringing chamber – where the bells are rung and the clock and carillon is housed – can be seen. Proceeds will go to the appeal.
