Christmas gifts donated in Sheffield to be sent abroad for disadvantaged children

Sheffield workplace provider Regus has collected 150 shoeboxes filled with Christmas treats for disadvantaged children abroad.

Staff, companies and individuals who use Regus facilities on Ecclesall Road, Pinfold Street and Broad Street and at the Blades Enterprise Centre and Meadowhall donated the boxes as part of the Operation Christmas Child Appeal run by Samaritan’s Purse.

Nationally 15,000 boxes have been collected in Regus centres.

They will be handed out to children in refugee camps, orphanages, homeless shelters and impoverished neighbourhoods.

Richard Morris, Chief Executive of Regus, said: “We’d like to extend our thanks to all the local businesses, schools, groups and individuals who got involved in the appeal and brought in their shoeboxes to our centres.”
