Choirs set to hit a festive note with city shoppers

Two South Yorkshire choirs were aiming to hit the right note with Sheffield shoppers and commuters today.

The singers were due to perform in the city centre as part of a festive fundraising campaign for Yorkshire-based charity Heart Research UK.

Sheffield Philharmonic and Barnsley Academy choir were set to serenade shoppers and travellers as part of the Sing for Your Heart campaign.

Barnsley Academy was due to perform in Orchard Square from 3pm to 3.30pm and Sheffield Philharmonic at the rail station from 4.30pm to 6.30pm.
