Youngsters at Catcliffe Primary School, which Terry Fieldhouse’s two youngest children attend, drafted in parents and grandparent to help make paper chains and other traditional trimmings for their local post office.

In return he paid for a school party.

Terry, who runs Catcliffe post office and TC Mini Mart in Brinworth Road, Catcliffe, said: “It was a great community effort and lovely to see everyone involved. Everybody comments on how great the decorations look.”
