Child sex pervert football star Adam Johnson to be moved to Doncaster jail
Jailed child sex football star Adam Johnson is set to be moved to a Doncaster prison.
The ex-England winger is moving to Doncaster's Moorland Prison to serve his six year sentence for sexual activity with a child, according to national newspaper reports.
The 28-year-old paedophile will be moved to the "cushy" jail within a week, according to The Sun.
The newspaper reports that the Category C prison has a pool room, gym, sports hall and all weather football pitch.
It quotes a source as saying: "Johnson will be able to keep fit and if they think it safe, play football. Moorland doesn't hold more dangerous prisoners likely to attack him. Officials are concerned about that due to his high profile."
The sacked former Sunderland ace, found guilty of sex offences against a 15-year-old fan, is currently being held at Leeds' Armley Jail.
Johnson pleaded guilty to "one count of sexual activity with a child and one count of grooming" in February and denied two further counts of underage sexual activity.
He was found guilty of one count of sexual activity with a child and found not guilty of a second count of the same crime.
The pair exchanged a total of 834 WhatsApp messages and twice met in Johnson's Land Rover in County Durham.
The sexual activity was found to have happened during the second meeting on January 30 last year.
The footballer has launched an appeal against his sentence.
The shamed soccer star dodged being moved to category A Frankland Prison in Durham, which holds some of the most notorious criminals in the country, according to reports.
Frankland holds murderers Levi Bellfield and Ian Huntley , and has had problems with violent inmates in the past.
