TWO pubs in Chesterfield have been banned from selling alcohol for 48 hours after allowing children to buy booze twice in a three-month period.

The Royal Oak on Chatsworth Road was banned from selling alcohol between 8pm on Friday, November 30, and 8pm on Sunday, December 2.

Joplins on the Market Place was also stopped from serving between 8pm on Friday, December 7, and 8pm on Sunday, December 9. Derbyshire Police issued the ‘closure’ notice to the pubs.
