Chernobyl kids to visit b2net

A GROUP of children from Chernobyl which was devastated by a radiation leak will be visiting Chesterfield FC’s b2net stadium on a special trip organised by Midlands Co-operative Society.

The Russian children will take of tour of the ground and then be treated to lunch.

Tanya Noon, member relations officer for the Co-op’s Northern Region, said: “We have co-ordinated tours for 18 children and three carers who look after them during their one month stay in our area.

“We’ve supported the charity on a number of occasions by making donations and helping towards fund-raising and we hope that this latest event provides the children with some wonderful memories to take back home.”
