A HUNT is under way for the holder of a £1million winning Lottery ticket bought in South Yorkshire - which is still unclaimed two weeks after the draw.

The National Lottery EuroMillions have revealed a winning ticket was sold in Doncaster last month.

It carried the winning number for the Millionaire Raffle draw on Tuesday, March 27.

Lottery firm Camelot is urging people who bought a ticket in Doncaster for the draw to check their details.

The winning number which has not been claimed was FGL789613 - and the ticket-holder has until 3pm on Sunday, September 23, to ask for their cash.

If no-one comes forward before the prize claim deadline, then the prize money, plus all the interest generated, will go to The National Lottery Good Causes.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “We’re desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings.”

It is the latest appeal for an unclaimed prize in Doncaster. The holder of a winning ticket worth £9.4 million sold in Doncaster in 2005 was never traced. Last year lottery officials were unable to find a £250,000 winner before the 180-day deadline elapsed.
