Stagecoach has announced a raft of new tickets offering cheaper bus and tram travel for young people across South Yorkshire.

From Sunday, March 30 Stagecoach will introduce a number of new child tickets, offering unlimited tram and bus travel in Sheffield from as little as 78p per day.

New bus-only tickets will also offer unlimited daily and weekly travel for young people for £2 per day or £5 per week, while those venturing further afield can travel by bus between South and West Yorkshire for £3 per day or £10 per week.

Stagecoach Supertram is also reducing the price of its tram-only child weekly Megarider ticket to £5.50, when bought onboard the tram, and a new tram Child Dayrider ticket is also being launched, priced at £2.10.

Young people can also purchase a number of the new tickets online.

Paul Lynch, Managing Director of Stagecoach Yorkshire, said: “We hope that our new range of great value children’s tickets will benefit many young people across the region.

“We wanted to expand our ticket range to increase and enhance travel options available to young people so they can travel further for less.”
