The eldest daughter of revolutionary leader Che Guevara is to speak at two Sheffield events.
Dr Aleida Guevara will address a meeting at The University of Sheffield and at the Quaker Meeting House on Tuesday, December 2.
The paediatrician from Havana, Cuba, will speak about her country’s response to the Ebola epidemic and ending the economic blockade of the island.
Tim Plant, chairman of the Sheffield branch of the Cuba Solidarity Campaign, said: “We are delighted that Aleida Guevara will be speaking in Sheffield.
“Aleida is a charismatic and inspirational speaker and a tremendous ambassador for Cuba.”
The visit to Sheffield is part of a nationwide speaking tour organised by the Cuba Solidarity Campaign.
