Friends and family of a boy who was killed in a car accident hope to raise funds for a charity set up in his memory with a race night.
Charlie Liversidge was eight when he died in an accident in 2008.
His family then set up Charlie’s Trust and, with the help of Sheffield United Football Club, were able to raise money for a new mini-bus for Penny Acres Primary, Holmesfield, where Charlie was a pupil.
Now Charlie’s sister Jessica has set up a race night at Fleur de Lys in Totley, on Saturday, March 23.
The event, which starts at 8pm, will be the final fundraiser for the charity.
There will also be a pie and pea supper and a raffle on the night.
Jessica said: “This will be the final fundraising event for Charlie’s Trust and I hope we are able to raise as much money as possible on the night.”
