Charity to visit Sheffield and Rotherham to raise awareness of bowel cancer

A Macmillan Cancer Support team will be visiting Sheffield and Rotherham to help raise awareness of bowel cancer.

The charity will park its mobile information service bus outside Debenhams on The Moor in Sheffield city centre on Tuesday, April 5 and in Howard Street, Rotherham, the following day, to answer questions, provide support and inform people about local cancer services.

There are currently over 244,000 people living with bowel cancer in the UK, with 115 people diagnosed every day.

Sarah Weston, of Macmillan Cancer Support, said: “We know that a diagnosis of bowel cancer doesn’t just affect your physical health, it can affect your whole life. If you are living with or beyond bowel cancer and have questions please come and see us.”
