Charity shops in Sheffield issue urgent appeal for new stock

Have your say

The Mind shops in Sheffield are issuing an urgent plea for donations, with fears that limited stock this winter could leave shelves bare and impact fundraising for the mental health charity.

Winter is a busy time of year for charity shops, but there are concerns that a lack of donations will stop the charity raising money.

The Mind shops in Sheffield rely on local generosity for over 95 per cent of product donations.

The charity says every bag dropped off in its shops has a cash equivalent of £30 once converted to saleable stock.

Money raised at the Mind shops in Sheffield fund the charity’s work such as its free Infoline and advice services.

n Donations can be made to Mind shops at 187-189 London Road or 106 Devonshire Street.
