A ROTHERHAM cricket club is playing host to a family fun day on Sunday, August 19, organised by house-builder Taylor Wimpey.

The housing developer has asked employees to provide cakes, BBQ food, tombola prizes and their dignity, as they prime themselves for a one-off cricket match against Upper Haugh Cricket Club’s finest.

All members of the community are invited to go along and enjoy the festivities, which are in aid of local charity KeyHouse, as well as raising vital funds for the club itself.

Anne Bagshaw, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire said: “We are thrilled to once again organise a family fun day at this great club. This is a great way of gathering members of the local community together.”

The club is on Wentworth Road at Rawmarsh.
