Charity in new challenge to recycle biscuit wrappers

Fundraisers in Sheffield are on a mission to help reduce landfill waste.

Volunteers from the South Yorkshire English Springer Spaniel Rescue are taking part in McVities’ Biscuit Wrapper Roundup, a project designed to get more people recycling the wrappers on their biccies.

Charities are collecting wrappers and the top 20 will win £1,000 worth of charity donations.

People in Sheffield can help by using freepost labels to send in used wrappers to be recycled into everyday products such as watering cans, garden benches and waste bins. Wrappers can also be sent to the charity’s new shop in High Street, Swallownest, Sheffield.
