A charity black tie event will raise funds in memory of Sheffield hit-and-run victim Jasmyn Chan.

Friends of the 14-year-old, who was killed by speeding driver Naseeb Ellahi on Normanton Hill in Intakelast May, have arranged the event at Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday February 21.

The evening includes a three course meal and entertainment from the voice contestant Jade Hewitt as well as a Michael Buble and a Michael Jackson tribute act.

Lewis Pask, who has organised other events in memory of Jasmyn, is putting it together with his ‘Jazzytastic’ fundraising team. Money raised will go to the Jasmyn Chan Foundation.

He added: “We need to sell as many tickets as possible to raise as much money as we can.”

Ellahi, who admitted to snorting cocaine before he took to the road on the night he killed Jasmyn as she saved the life of her friend Tia Tucker, was jailed for seven-and-a-half years last month.

For tickets to the event, which cost £25, email or call 07578426483.
