Charity day for wildlife

BOSSES at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park are planning an Animal Action Day to raise funds for conservation organisations.

There will be a variety of activities throughout the afternoon and into the evening, including a special programme of ranger talks and feeding times, special preview tours of the new South American ‘walk-through’ and face-painting.

In the afternoon, a special raffle will be held in the shop with prizes including a Big Cats and Breakfast experience, a tiger adoption and tickets to the park.

Director of the park, Cheryl Williams, said the money was going to projects linked with species present at the South Yorkshire venue.

She said: “Our staff are donating their time and putting a lot of energy into activities, so we hope lots of people will come along and find out more about the projects that we work with.”

The fundraiser is running on Saturday, July 2, between 3pm and 7pm.
