Charity concert really took off

SKILLBASE students from Dearne Valley College raised £80 with a charity concert.

The 10 Skillbase students from the Wath-based College performed to members of the college senior management team and their families and friends while collecting for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance Service.

Students aimed to build their confidence through performance as part of their course. The college’s own hair and beauty therapy students helped the performers get ready for their debut by doing hair and make-up for the big performance.

Bernadette Garland, DVC programme area manager for care, early years and access, said: “The Skillbase students have worked really hard to put on the concert.”
