RURAL charities are being given the chance to show off their work at this year’s Great Yorkshire Show.
The Yorkshire and the Humber Rural Network is inviting groups to join their stand to provide short, free and fun activities for visitors to the agricultural show from July 12 to 14.
It is the second year the Rural Network, which supports the voluntary and community sector in rural areas of Yorkshire, has taken a stand at the Great Yorkshire Show.
Sophie Price, from the organisation, said: “A lot of small, rural VCS groups do not have the capacity to take a stand at the Great Yorkshire Show, so we thought it would be a great experience for them to be able to attend the event for one of the days for free and promote what they do.
“We are looking at having about four different groups each day so that more rural groups can get involved.”
