Charities to benefit from fundraising at city festival

Have your say

Four Sheffield charities have been given a cash boost thanks to a community festival.

Proceeds from Broomhill Festival were split between StopGap Sheffield, Phoenix Association, St Andrew’s Child Contact Centre and Jubilee Food Bank - with each cause receiving £1,150.

Now organisers of next year’s festival, which will be the 40th event and take place in June 2014, are urging charities to apply so they can benefit from money raised.

A representative from the charities chosen will be involved with the planning of the festival.

The closing date for applications is Monday September 30.
