Charges over taxi attack

TWO men have been charged in connection with the robbery of a Doncaster taxi driver whose car also went up in flames.

The incident was reported to the emergency services in the early hours of last Saturday when a Peugeot 406 taxi was reported on fire in Weston Road, Balby.

Police enquiries showed the taxi driver had earlier picked up two men in Doncaster town centre.

One man has been charged with robbery, arson, kidnap and possession of an offensive weapon. A 32-year-old has been charged with kidnap.
