Charge after man stabbed in the neck in Rotherham


A man has been charged after a stabbing in Rotherham.

On Sunday, police were called to a property in Blyth Close, Whiston, at about 3pm.

A 31-year-old man was taken to hospital after being stabbed in the neck.

A 24-year-old man, Robert David Crookes, of Robinets Road, Wingfield, has been charged with wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm following the incident.

He will appear at Sheffield Crown Court on Tuesday, May 17.
