changes to a farm in green belt land on the outskirts of Sheffield are to be discussed by councillors today.
The proposals involve creating a 40 metre by 20 metre riding area, replacing a flat roof with a pitched roof, rebuilding the entrance to the farm house and retaining solar panels on a barn.
Sheffield Council’s west and north planning board will consider the scheme, at Tinker Brook House Farm, Brightholmlee Road, west of Wharncliffe Side, at its meeting from 2pm today.
Planning officers are recommending approval because the proposals would have ‘minimal impact’ on the character of the green belt.
But Bradfield Parish Council has appealed for the scheme to be blocked on the grounds of overdevelopment of the site.
