THE South Yorkshire Community Foundation has appointed a new chief executive.

Pauline Grice has stepped down from the role after six years, during which she was made an MBE and helped administer donations collected for households affected by the 2007 floods.

Ruth Willis, who has 32 years’ experience in councils and the voluntary sector in Cumbria, is taking over.

She said: “I am looking forward to contributing towards making a better future for South Yorkshire.”
