Thirteen apprenticeship places are available for young people in Sheffield.
The city council’s housing service is running a pilot project to open doors to opportunities in all aspects of housing, including repairs and maintenance, rent payments, re-letting empty homes, money advice, estate services, supporting tenant volunteers and general administration.
Apprentices can gain NVQ qualifications.
Coun Harry Harpham, cabinet member for homes and neighbourhoods, said: “This new scheme will provide young people with vital skills and experiences which will hopefully stand them in good stead for the future.”
