She added: “We are keen to sustain the new connections made from the success of these projects, so have been working on a Civic Youth Champions scheme. The aim of this long-term project is to give students and young people the opportunity to build confidence, learn transferrable creative and leadership skills, and gain invaluable hands-on experience working in the arts industry.”

The Civic will host its first free meeting on the evening of April 22, from 6-7pm, Attendees can then stay to watch the Best of BE Festival performance. Email [email protected] for more details.
