Chance to add another string to your bow

TALENTED young musicians from across the county will have the chance to stretch their skills with a world-class conductor in Sheffield next Sunday.

The Bring and Play event is aimed at teenagers learning to play string instruments, and is part of a wider programme, Music in the Round.

Children have a chance to attend a workshop by conductor Trevor Pinnock at the Bannerdale Centre off Abbeydale Road, at 10am.

Polly Ives, of Music In The Round, said: "It will offer string musicians a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play alongside a world-renowned conductor."

Trevor Pinnock is at Sheffield City Hall on Saturday night, conducting Orchestra 360.
