Championship transfer rumours: Sheffield United in for Jon Nolan and EFL boss speaks out on FFP, which could affect Sheffield Wednesday

Sheffield United are reportedly in the running to sign Shrewsbury Town midfielder Jon Nolan, who has handed in a transfer request with the League One club.

Nolan, 26, played a vital role in Town's third-place league finish last season and is also wanted by Ipswich.

Meanwhile Sheffield Wednesday will have been paying close attention as EFL chief Shaun Harvey spoke out about Financial Fair Play restrictions in the Championship.

Harvey insists that the restrictions and punishments are still taken seriously, despite a number of clubs including QPR, Bournemouth and Leicester breaking the rules and suffering fines.
