A number of Premier League clubs could be lining up bids for Leeds United's star striker Kemar Roofe in the January transfer window.

Despite reports yesterday that suggested contract negotiations between Elland Road officials and Roofe's representatives would get underway after the international break, it seems the 25-year-old has caught the eye of three top flight sides.

Southampton, Burnley and Brighton are all said to be monitoring Marcelo Bielsa's man.

Aston Villa finally parted company with Steve Bruce yesterday and now speculation about his replacement has begun.

Thierry Henry is said to be keen on the role, while Shaktar Donetsk gaffer Paulo Fonseca and Rafa Benitez have also been linked with the job.

QPR are reportedly giving a trial to 20-year-old ex-Derby County striker Lewis Walker.

Walker, the son of former England striker Des, had his Rams contract terminated by mutual consent in August.
