Challenging discrimination
BARNSLEY residents are being invited to a community conference at the Town Hall next week to discuss how the borough can challenge discrimination and disadvantage.
One Barnsley, the town's Local Strategic Partnership, wants people from all of Barnsley's communities to give their views on what the priorities should be to make the borough an equal place to live, work and socialise.
The conference will be held at Barnsley Town Hall on Wednesday October 24 from 10am to 3pm. For people who cannot attend in the daytime, an evening catch-up session will be held from 6pm to 7pm.
