Punters at The Vine Tavern in Mosborough scored a bullseye when top darts player Tony O’Shea paid a visit.
The darts star visited the sports bar on School Street for the final of the darts tournament which had been running over a number of weeks.
Landlady Maggie Bruton said: “It was fantastic.
“He played all the finalists and also played another 19 people.
“Everyone had a laugh and it was a really good night. Everyone enjoyed themselves.”
All of the finalists of the tournament played Tony ‘Silverback’ O’Shea and the eventual winner was Steve Thompson.
On Tuesday, The Vine will be hosting the final of its ‘Pub Idol’ competition.
The singing competition, in a similar format to X Factor, has been running for a few weeks.
The contestants have now been whittled down to the final two, who battle it out to go through to the national finals with singers from other Enterprise Inns venues all across the country.
Maggie said: “There’s a £1,000 prize fund for the winner and they get to have a CD recorded.
“The standard has been very good. We’re very much looking forward to seeing who goes through.”
