World Cup referee Howard Webb, actor Brian Blessed, Pulp drummer Nick Banks, Coronation Street actor Connor McIntyre, who plays Pat Phelan and Rotherham MP Sarah Champion have agreed to create their own personal postcard sized works of art, which will be sold off to raise money.

They will be displayed in an exhibition, with bidders not knowing whose work belongs to who until they have bough their preferred pieces.

Money will be donated to Rotherham Hospice and Gallery Town, which aims to help regenerate Rotherham through displaying works of art in outdoor public spaces.

Brian Blessed said “This is a wonderful project supporting two very different but very important causes and I am happy to be a part of it. I encourage you all to get involved and get creative.”

Ged Omar, Gallery Town project manager, said: “When looking at ways to fundraise for both causes and via the arts we came across similar projects that have been run successfully.”
