Wong Ting restaurant, in Sheffield, will host ‘Wong Ting’s Got Talent’ next month - an open talent show with all funds going to the charity’s Make It Better appeal, to fund the building of a brand new hospital wing.

Helen Lee, manager at Wong Ting restaurant in the city centre, said: “We want to do it for Sheffield. We are a Sheffield family, a Sheffield restaurant and we want to support children in Sheffield.”

The event, on February 12, will include a three-course meal and entertainment from children of the Chinese School Association. Those wishing to take part in the talent show can enter right up until the night itself.

Gemma Bower, community fundraiser at The Children’s Hospital Charity – who will be a judge on the night – said: “This is a fantastic, fun way to raise money for our amazing hospital while celebrating the most important night in the Chinese calendar, so please book your tickets.”
