CHUTNEY’S Bangladeshi restaurant is hosting a Celebrating Sheffield’s Diversity dinner party to which local people of various faiths and backgrounds have been invited.

The party, which marks the daily break of fast, will take place at the restaurant in White Lane Gleadless Town End from 7.30pm on Tuesday, August 7.

Restaurant owner Mothiur Rahman said: “I am organising a community diversity Iftar party at my restaurant to which I have invited people from different ethnic groups including Pakistanis, Bengalis, Somalis, Bangladeshis and others.

“My specially invited guests also include the Lord Mayor, the Chief Constable of South Yorkshire Police, a number of local MPs and Lord Nazir Ahmed.”
