Police say they are growing increasingly concerned for Barry's safety

Barry Jones disappeared on Tuesday (February 28) morning and fears are mounting for his safety with every passing hour.

Police today issued these images of the 77-year-old, from Rotherham, as they renewed appeals for information.

They show him boarding an X5 bus at Sheffield city centre bus station towards Dinnington at around 1pm on the day he disappeared.

He is believed to have alighted from the bus around 10 minutes later at the Woodhouse Mill stop, and has not been seen since.

Barry is described as being around 5ft8ins, with a slim build and a shaved head. He was wearing blue jeans, a thermal vest and a green coat with a leather collar when he disappeared.

Police have carried out door-to-door enquiries and searches over the last two days in the area where he is believed to have got off the bus, and those efforts are continuing today.

Barry is believed to have boarded an X5 bus in Aston at 11.05am on Tuesday headed towards Sheffield.

He is then thought to have boarded a 120 bus to Fulwood at around 12.12pm.

CCTV footage from Sheffield city centre bus station shows him getting on another X5 bus towards Dinnington around 50 minutes later.

Around 10 minutes later, he is believed to have got off at the Woodhouse Mill stop.

Anyone who thinks they may have seen Barry or has any information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call police on 101, quoting the incident number 628 of February 28.
