Police are trying to trace a man who may hold ‘vital information’ about a pub assault that left a 52-year-old with nerve damage.

They have released the CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in relation to an incident on Sunday, April 19, in which a 52-year-old man was punched in the Royal Oak pub on Station Road, Chapeltown.

The man suffered an injury to his face, causing nerve damage.

Officers arrested a 26-year-old man and a 24-year-old man in connection with the incident and they have since been released on bail.

Officers would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident, or who can identify the man in the CCTV image.
