Police want to speak to this woman after an incident of racial abuse at a South Yorkshire train station.
British Transport Police issued an appeal for information after a woman racially abused a member of staff at Rotherham train station after being unable to produce a valid ticket.
PC Emma Williamson said: “A woman was asked to show her ticket by revenue inspectors at the station, but failed to produce one.
“She was directed to the ticket office, where she confronted a member of staff, racially abusing him before walking out of the station.”
The incident happened on July 26 and BTP have released this CCTV image of a woman believed to have important information about it.
PC Williamson added: “All members of rail staff have a right to carry out their work without the fear of violence or abuse.
“We treat incidents of racial harassment very seriously and will do everything we can to find the person responsible.
“I am confident the woman in the picture can assist with our investigation.
“If you recognise her please get in touch.”
