Catholic Men's club
With reference to the article in the Star on Wednesday about the proposed development around the former St Vincent's Church.
You refer to a former workingmen’s club.
This is incorrect as the premises were the home of the Catholic Men’s Society and also there was a boxing club on the first floor.
There are many people in Sheffield who would also remember with fondness that this was for many years St Vincent’s Youth Club and also part of the boy’s school.
It is good to hear that the facade of the club will be kept .
