Cast your vote and help city initiative win lottery award

A city healthy-living initiative has been nominated for a National Lottery award - and is calling on the people of Sheffield to help it win.

The SIV, Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United ‘Steel City Fit Club’ is battling it out with six other organisations from across the UK to be named Best Sport Project after reaching the finals of the prestigious National Lottery Awards.

The innovative project beat off stiff competition from more than 600 applicants to reach the voting stage in this year’s National Lottery Awards and the chance to win £3,000.

The National Lottery-funded Steel City Fit Club harnesses the power of football by offering local football supporters the chance to get fit and have fun in the grounds of their footballing heroes.
